A Bruneian Society in Leeds, West Yorkshire, UK
3rd March 2011
Salam and Hello everyone!
It’s been exactly one month since the Bruleeds AGM, and now all of us as the new Bruleeds 2011/2012 Committees, we have completed our transition period. Huge round of applause goes to the old committee (2010/2011) and yeah, you all are awesome! I would like to thank you guys for the incredible support you have given us during our transition period and your dedications are indeed inspiring!
As the new president of Bruleeds, I would like to thank you for nominating and eventually choosing me as your leader in the AGM last month. It was quite a shocking experience that they believe that I could handle a very big responsibility in my hands. To be a president or a leader of such a big society such as Bruleeds has never been in my list before and it was kind of new to me. There’s a quote that I really love and still holding onto-“The sky has never been the limit”. Insyaallah, I’ll try my very best to be a good leader and be confident so that we can fulfil the aims and objectives of Bruleeds society together with the help of other committee members.
Working together as a team is the way to success! “Individually, we are one drop, but together we are an ocean”. So guys, let’s be a perfect team with one voice, one aim and one objective and I know, if we have all these, we could make a difference and be outstanding! And that's our motto!
Siti Nurul Afizah,
Bruleeds President 2011/2012
